News From Your Director

October 3, 2017

Dear Parents & Students,

Welcome to “BANDTOBER!” We took care of quite a few BIG check marks this past weekend: The Fair Parade, the Rodeo Corral Performance, Letter Jacket Presentations, the Homecoming Football Game, AND our first Marching Contest! It was a tough weekend, but we got lucky with the weather and the Ranger Band performed superbly at the Seguin Marching Contest.

This week is marked by the Annual Fajita Dinner & Silent Auction. I hope everyone is looking forward to this great event, and I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of the planning…it takes a lot to put this night together! We look forward to seeing you there at 6pm on Friday!

Our second contest of the season is this Saturday at Heroes Stadium (itinerary attached). Call time on Saturday is noon and students should eat lunch beforehand. The Ranger Band will be the last band of the day to perform, with a performance time of 4:30pm, and the awards ceremony will take place shortly after. We aim to be back at SVHS by approximately 6:30pm. Go Ranger Band!

Finally, the first UIL grade check takes place this Friday. Parents, please check up on your student’s grades and keep encouraging them to communicate with their teachers.
