  • Congratulations to all students who earned a place in the TMEA Region 12 All-Region Band!  The concerts on January 19th were amazing!

  • Please consider joining us next Thursday (Feb. 7) for the 1st Annual Comal ISD “Night of Jazz” at 7pm here in the SVHS Auditorium.  It’s going to be a great evening with performances from the Canyon Jazz Band, the Canyon Lake Jazz Band, and of course the Smithson Valley Jazz Band.  We’ll be closing with a combined number from all three groups. See you there!

  • Our annual Midwinter Concert is coming up on Tuesday, February 12th at 6:30 in the Auditorium.  The groups are all sounding great, and I can’t wait for you to hear the product of their hard work!

  • Chaperones for the San Francisco trip have been selected, contacted, and have all accepted.  Thank you to ALL who expressed interest!

  • Finally, we have scheduled a parent/student meeting for all those traveling to San Francisco over Spring Break.  Important information will be communicated and attendance is required for all students, as well as at least one parent.  The meeting will take place in the Band Hall at 6:30pm on Monday February 25th.
